Render House Studios had been making its mark in a rented space for years. When the opportunity arose to purchase its own strata property, they knew it was time to create a workspace that reflected their creative spirit and supported their ambitions for growth. Fast Fitouts was thrilled to partner with Render House on this exciting industrial fitout, transforming a blank canvas into a dynamic and inspiring environment while sticking to a keen budget.

The Challenge: Creative Vision, Keen Budget

Render House Studios envisioned a creative and industrial theme, a space where their team could collaborate and innovate. However, like many growing businesses, they were mindful of controlling costs. This meant finding clever and cost-effective solutions to achieve their desired aesthetic without breaking the bank.

The Fast Fitouts Solution: Reworking, Refining, and Realising the Vision

The Fast Fitouts team embraced the challenge, employing a strategy that focused on modifying and reworking the existing fitout wherever possible. This approach saved time and money and allowed us to create a unique space that blended the old with the new.

Key elements of the fitout included:

Modified and Reworked Existing Fitout: Instead of starting from scratch, we carefully assessed the existing structure and identified opportunities to repurpose and reimagine elements, saving Render House Studios a significant amount on demolition and new construction costs. We used plasterboard walls to add additional rooms, including an admin office.

New Kitchenette: A brand new kitchenette was created, featuring a new sink, single draw dishwasher and microwave, with a small fridge/freezer.

Creative & Industrial Theme: The design incorporated raw materials and exposed elements to achieve the desired industrial aesthetic. This included exposing services where appropriate and selecting lighting fixtures that complemented the theme.

Polished Concrete Floors: The polished concrete floors added to the industrial feel and provided a durable, low-maintenance surface.

Expanded Space for Growth: By optimising the layout and adding in rooms/kitchenette, Fast Fitouts provided Render House Studios with a significantly more extensive and more functional space to support their growing team and business. New Bike and scooter parking was also added to the fit out.
