Though applicants would ideally have prior shopfitting experience, it is certainly not essential. Whether you have a background in cabinet making, labouring, painting, or any other construction-related profession, the most important attribute is a ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to learn.

Full on-the-job training is provided, and all Fast Fitouts staff can look forward to plenty of variety in their work. From corporate offices to bespoke cafes to fast-paced workshops, our scope of works are constantly changing and offering new challenges.

Current Opportunities

Apprentice / TRADESMAN & SUB-CONTRACTORS

If you're a new apprentice wanting to start a trade, this is your chance to learn a variety of skills in shopfitting - carpentry, cladding, cabinet making, painting, tiling, glazing & floor coverings & more

If you're a tradesman or equally experienced person Fast Fitouts has a large variety of work and project outcomes within the Brisbane to Gold Coast region.

Shopfitting with Fast Fitouts not only offers a great team and short travel distances to work but also flexible working hours and the ability to earn a great income.

Scope of Duties

  • Set daily task completions (goal set) for each day
  • Report to the site supervisor or co-ordinator on job issues
  • Required understand your tasks at hand
  • Be familiar with the overall job plan and scope of works
  • Carry out your work diligently and efficiently
  • Workmanship is to be of good standard
  • Proactive in problem solving
  • Lead by example for apprentices and labourers
  • Involve and teach Fast Fitouts apprentices
  • Required to help with various team tasks – hoisting etc.
  • Responsible for upkeep/ maintenance of personal and Fast Fitout's tools
  • Responsible for WPH&S monitoring of apprentices and labourers
  • Responsible for ensuring the site is kept clean
  • Responsible for project task scheduling and task setting for apprentices and labourers
  • Responsible for your defect rectification
  • Work to the project schedule.
  • Notify the site supervisor of material requirements.
  • Notify the site supervisor or co-ordinator of any outstanding work.

As a tradesman your job is about delivering quality. MOST importantly you are to keep in daily contact with your site supervisor, apprentices and labourers, keeping them updated with progress. You will confer with the Project manager on personal dramas/ issues that arise. Your performance review which ultimately reflects remuneration will be scored on your effectiveness and implementation of the above points.

Apprentices will receive full on-the-job training.
